Hello,
My name is Pocahontas
It's nice to meet you.
Graduating in Fall '25 from the University of Central Florida, I am pursuing a degree in Health Sciences on the Pre-Clinical Track.
Reflecting on my time as a pre-med student, the definition of what it means to share a passion for the field is something that I find to be constantly expanding, as my exposure to the medical world becomes more influential with every new experience I partake in.
Growing up, I was encouraged to reach big in all my aspirations and endeavors by family and loved ones. I've always been confident in knowing that I would hold a place in contributing to the medical field, and progressing my studies only solidifies this life-long dream further.
A large part of my interest in medicine stems from the creativity and margin for innovation found in the versatile field - both in the clinical and academic setting. I hope to one day explore the intersectionality between these settings, expanding technological advancement through medical implications in ever-growing areas of scientific discovery.
Outside of the classroom, I’m a big believer in the path to success being nonlinear, and community over competition. I feel that following these themes have become integral to my accomplishment thus far.
"If you have a dream, keep going. It might not happen overnight, but if you keep at it, it will happen."
